LINDFIELD HOUSE

"Lindfield House Victorian Museum, at 72 Richmond Avenue , Auckland Park, is, for anyone who has not seen it, virtually a Life Time Experience, because seldom does one get the chance to step back in time in such authentic surroundings....22 rooms filled to overflowing with Victorian treasures, with a guide (Katherine Love) who owns, knows and loves every item and can help one to time travel to a different era. 

Katharine, dressed as a Victorian Parlour Maid, does regular fascinatng tours of the  house, and  is so knowledgable about the era that she can do special interest tours on many related  subjects as well .... history of costume, jewellry, miniatures, Victorian Customs  and more, so the Museum is of ongoing interest to students, collectors, hobbyists and any other enquiring mind.

The cost is R60 for the tour including tea, R40 for the tour without tea, and there are special rates for Senior Citizens and Students - they get Tour AND Tea for R40!    Venue hire is
